Gwen Borden and her daughter, Amy Goober, are a remarkable mother–daughter duo: Gwen is a 94-year-old former teacher, social worker, and pioneering bereavement therapist who co-authored My Mother Always Says: 25 Lessons for Finding the Silver Lining, and Amy is an action coach, successful entrepreneur, and creator of women’s events and travel experiences that empower midlife women to ask, “What’s next?”
 
In this episode, Gwen and Amy sit down with Christina to discuss how Gwen’s life - from the Great Depression and her sister’s polio, to losing her first husband at 49, building one of the first bereavement centers, and supporting families after 9/11 - became the foundation for 25 powerful life lessons about resilience and silver linings.
